POV Hackathon 2 and FWA People’s Choice Award 2012

It’s always interesting and enlightening to see and explore what other nonfiction artists are up to.

This weekend (Jan. 12 and 13) 8 teams of filmmakers and developers will meet in Brooklyn as part of the POV Hackathon 2 to come up with new ideas on how to make a web documentary, whether it be an app, an interactive website or a game.

Also, this weekend is your last opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Awards. The winners will be announced by the FWA on Jan. 15.

There are many cool websites included in that list – try Jam With Chrome – and also 3 webdocumentaries :

Bear 71, D-Day to Victory, and Clouds over Cuba.

Three very different, but powerful examples of interactive storytelling.

Keep exploring!
